Finally crossed into Idaho yesterday afternoon.
Met a bunch of people doing a group supported bicycle ride from Seattle to Virginia. Had a nice long chat with some of.them.
There was a total of about 15 in that group complete with support vehicle.
Some of them could not comprehend how I could ride across America on my own, pulling all my own stuff.  I said ro those people, I don’t know how you could do a ride in a big ass group with a controlled agenda.
I don’t like people having control over my future. Particularly bicycle touring companies. Tried it and did not work for me.
The time I tried it, I got along great with five others that did not get along with the other 15!  We were all non conformists.
They threatened to fire me as a rider four times for riding by myself.
I think after riding 21000 miles all over north America I should ride alone once in a while.
People in Idaho hate Obama. Much like myself.  Idaho is a firearm.friendly state .  Everyone also speaks to you.
People here.don’t want the government in their lives, unlike all the Obama lovers out there. Everyone here I have met likes and enjoys their independence.
Tomorrow I will be entering 150 miles of pure wilderness.
